Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs, this position supervises approximately 25-30 faculty and staff to:
- Serve as Campus Dean (Albert Lea campus) working collaboratively with the Director of Facilities to ensure smooth operation of campus facilities and grounds
- Provide leadership and oversight of all academic programs in Trades and Transportation at the Albert Lea Campus
- Work collaboratively with the Academic and Student Affairs Leadership Team to eliminate equity gaps and increase student success
- Support teaching and learning programs, services, partnerships and personnel to serve students effectively
- Demonstrate dedication to helping the College achieve HSI status and expanded diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
- Support faculty in closing equity gaps as part of the Minnesota States Equity 2030 goals.

Required Qualifications

- Masters Degree in related discipline or leadership from a regionally accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of related experience in higher education.
- Knowledge of innovative programs and pedagogy designed to serve diverse, non-traditional and adult students.
- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to assessment of prior student learning.
- Ability to organize time and diverse tasks, to communicate clearly, to conduct meetings, to direct others, and to follow up on tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated skill in working effectively with personnel conflicts and concerns.
- Experience in developing and administering budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success promoting the values of shared governance.
- Knowledge of community and technical college organization, curriculum, goals, vision, system regulations and contracts, fiscal regulations and procedures.
- Demonstrated proven record for accurately assessing emerging college, business and community needs for cost-effective program development/implementation.
- Demonstrated skill in executing projects effectively.
- Ability to recruit women and other diverse populations into Trades and Technology.
- Bilingual/Multilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.
- Demonstrated experience working with a multicultural and underserved populations.
