The Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics Division is searching for an Adjunct Instructor to teach an evening section of MTT 230 - Electrical Discharge Machining at the Marple Campus during the Spring 2013 semester. For a course description go to www.dccc.edu/courses/mtt/230 .
Must have a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field, certification in or practical documentable experience using the software, and appropriate teaching experience. The candidate must have the ability to effectively teach the information and basic skills required to program and operate both ram (sinker), and non-submergible type 4-axis wire (EDM) Electrical Discharge Machining/machines as well as utilize CAM software (MasterCAM) programming options to modify cutting parameters, settings and part geometries at various points on a contour. The candidate must also be able to address the fundamental principles of the EDM process, terms, capabilities, and machine tool system components. Aspects of programming and machining methodology to include work holding, tooling, electrode selection and operational characteristics, process variables, set-up and operation of ram and wire machines will be addressed.
