Contract Length: 9 months
Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the College and comply with all College policies. Responsible for providing instruction, facilitating learning, and practicing retention stratgies within the appropriate department/program. Develop and revise curriculum and course work. Provide scheduled office hours for student consultation, mentoring, advisement. Serve on College committees as needed and assigned.
Pay Rate: FM
M.S. degree in Biology, or a M.S. degree and 18 graduate hours in Biology
Minimum Knowledge & Skills:
Principles and practices of teaching and training techniques;
Detailed knowledge of material being taught in the specific course and program area;
Knowledge of student engagement techniques, learning styles, retention strategies, and learning-centered philosophy;
Record keeping procedures;
Appropriate computer applications, especially word processing and email;
Experience with or willingness to learn latest teaching/learning technologies and online instruction;
Written and oral communication skills commensurate with position and level of education, and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisors, and the general public;
Must be proficient with computer software used for presentations (e.g. PowerPoint) and word processing (e.g. Word);
Ability to teach a variety of Biology courses in college catalog.
Experience teaching Biology at a two-year college.
Must be willing to teach evenings.
Some experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology at a two-year college.

Must be willing to teach evenings and weekends.
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Minimum Salary Range: $41,591
Mid Point Salary Range: $52,685
Maximum Salary Range: $66,740
