Public Relations Assistant

Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for a Public Relations Assistant. This position supports public relations/advancement leadership, performs desktop publishing, website design, and assists in the development of new marketing concepts and materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties / responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assists with internal and external public relations campaigns, projects, and events.
Assists with writing and distributing news releases and other articles.
Supports relationships with news media.
Creates and designs internal and external materials in compliance with KCTCS branding guide.
Assists other departments with publications.
Maintains archives of public relations materials.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree or equivalent. One to two years related experience preferred.
