Position Information Posting Number 20110191 Job Title Financial Aid Systems Analyst Job Category Staff Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Southwestern Michigan College, a two-year college located approximately 30 minutes north of South Bend, Indiana, and approximately 30 minutes from Lake Michigan’s eastern shore is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Systems Analyst who is dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced. The Systems Analyst will oversee the technical processes related to the utilization of the Banner financial aid module and other financial aid software. This position will also serve as a liaison between the Financial Aid Office and Computing Services and will be responsible for testing Banner and software upgrades. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the technical processes related to Financial Aid software, including the importing and exporting of files with the U.S. Department of Education and other regulatory agencies. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all system related issues. Document and maintain policies and procedures for the College’s computer system as it relates to financial aid processing. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and consistency in awarding financial aid. Work with the Director and Business Office Staff to monitor funds management and account reconciliation. Reports to the Director of Financial Aid Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required, or Associate Degree with commensurate experience. Must be skilled in technology processes and applications. Preferred Qualifications Previous Financial Aid and/or Banner Experience Preferred Other Information Special Instructions to Applicants
