This position will collect, retrieve, organize and analyze data required for institutional research, effectiveness and decision-making processes of the college. The coordinator works in support of the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and SACS accreditation teams and Human Resources on organizational effectiveness efforts;. The coordinator will work closely with the college community to create and maintain electronic databases and other data files necessary to support institutional research and effectiveness, monitor accreditation standards as applied to the institution and assist in the development and execution of surveys and other instruments used to measure and improve college operations.
Staff Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree. Training in Social Science, Information Technology, Computation or Computer Science or related field with 2 – 4 years related experience.
Faculty Required Education/Experience Skills:
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Statistical software such as SPSS, SaS, Desktop software with expert knowledge of Excel, including use of pivot tables, macros, etc. Strong analytical skills and exceptional written and oral communications sklls; strong presentation development and delivery skills. Proficiency in data extraction from comprehensive information systems. Knowledge of Business Objects and data warehousing. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and to use descriptive statistics and research methods.
