Position Summary:

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking to expand its pool of adjunct faculty to teach Medical Office Administration (MOA) courses in the classroom at the Salisbury and Concord campuses, during the day and the evening. MOAcourses include medical terminology, medical billing and coding, medical ethics/law, electronic medical records, etc.

Staff Required Education/Experience:  
Faculty Required Education/Experience Skills:

Associate degree in Medical Office Administration or closely related healthcare administration discipline from an accredited educational institution; 2 years’ experience in medical environment; proficiency with EHR/EMR; basic skills using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); excellent oral and written communication skills; competency using online meeting software, such as Lync, AnyMeeting, etc.

Desired Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelor or master degree Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Information Management, or closely related healthcare discipline from an accredited educational institution; 3-5 years’ experience in medical environment; teaching adult learners; online teaching experience with Blackboard or other similar LMS; proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); proficiency using online meeting software, such as Lync, AnyMeeting, etc.
