For the second time in less than a year, Nashville State Community College's Cookeville campus is in search of a new director.
Friday was Michelle Aheron's last day as campus director. Aheron submitted her resignation from the position earlier this week.
"Despite our attempts to make the situation work, Michelle has decided that it is not a good fit for her," Eileen Crane, executive assistant to the president of Nashville State Community College said in an e-mail to members of the Upper Cumberland Foundation Board on Thursday.
Aheron was offered the position of campus director in September 2010 following the departure of Dennis Tennant. Tennant left in July after accepting the position of associate director of Extended Programs and Regional Development at Tennessee Tech.
