Indiana University says it will allow Ivy Tech Community College to move some information technology equipment to an IU data center, a partnership the schools say will save millions of dollars.
Officials say Ivy Tech's data center was too outdated and small, but building a new data center to house and protect computer equipment could have cost more than $18 million. Instead, Ivy Tech will move some equipment in July to IU's facility at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
