David T. Harrison exceeded expectations during his first year as president of Columbus State Community College, but trustees didn't bump up his pay last night - at his request - because of the continued uncertainty of Ohio's economy.
Harrison, 49, became Columbus State's fifth president in July.
He has a five-year contract and an annual base salary of $257,000.
"President Harrison has both met and exceeded the board's expectations in the energy he has put into advancing partnerships with our community's collegiate partners and the bridges he is building with central Ohio's K-12 districts," board of trustees Chairwoman Poe Timmons said.
