Boosting efficiencies and skills of Indiana labor is the focus of an expanding Ivy Tech Community College program that could reach 100,000 employees annually.
It could also bring millions of dollars in new revenue to the school as it faces constrained campuses and centers across the state.
Ivy Tech announced Friday the launch of its Corporate College -- statewide workplace training programs and courses that take place on-site at business and educational centers to improve management expertise, technical abilities and certifications.
"There is strong need for workforce training in existing companies, and that is usually not handled with interim trainers like it was two decades ago because the cost has changed," Ivy Tech President Thomas Snyder said. "It is going to be keeping people competitive."
