Pellissippi State Community College has completed its purchase of the former Philips Consumer Electronics building, which will serve as the school's new Strawberry Plains campus this fall, college officials said today.
Pellissippi State purchased the 223,000-square-foot building for $10 million thanks to a state program that funded capital projects for community colleges last year. The state contributed $8.5 million and the school's fundraising foundation paid the remaining $1.5 through private donations.
