Position Summary
Reporting to the Dean of the Gabelli School of Business, the Senior Director of
External Partnerships and Engagement advances the Gabelli School of
Businesss (GSB) mission, vision, and strategic priorities, particularly in fostering
external partnerships that drive revenue generation and sustainable growth. The
Senior Director of External Partnerships and Engagement develops and builds
strong, mutually beneficial relationships between corporate and other external
partners and GSB.
Essential Functions
develops strategic partnerships that drive revenue and ensure the Gabelli
Schools sustainable financial growth. This includes diversifying income
streams through executive education programs, degree program pipelines,
and other innovative partnership and engagement models. The focus is on
creating long-term value and enhancing GSBs financial resilience while
aligning with its mission and strategic priorities.
∙ Strategic Partnership Development: Proactively identifies and engages
potential partners in other mutually beneficial collaborations such as
student internships, job placements, competitions, conferences and
collaborative research opportunities.
∙ Relationship Management: Cultivates and maintains a strong portfolio of
relationships with external partners, ensuring alignment with strategic
goals.
∙ Market Intelligence: Maintains a deep understanding of market trends,
business needs, faculty expertise and center capabilities to effectively
match GSBs offerings with external partner needs, thereby enhancing the
schools visibility and impact.
∙ Partnership Execution and Implementation: Leads the negotiation and
formulation of partnership agreements, ensuring seamless collaboration
across university departments to achieve partnership objectives.
∙ Faculty Engagement and Coordination: Establishes communication with
faculty to identify external partnerships opportunities.
∙ Communication and Promotion: Works closely with GSBs marketing
teams and senior leadership to promote partnerships, leveraging various
platforms to maximize visibility and impact.
∙ Performance Tracking: Develops and manages a system for tracking
engagement activities and outcomes, facilitating continuous improvement
and growth of partnership initiatives.

Management Responsibilities
Supervises the work of other Fordham employees who are individual
contributors. Responsible for hiring, training and developing, managing
performance and administering corrective action. Has significant input in

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
∙ Bachelors degree
∙ Minimum of 7 years in corporate roles with a focus on account
management, business development, sales and marketing, or similar
fields.

Preferred Qualifications
∙ Masters degree or Professional Certification
Minimum Starting Salary: $125,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $150,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
