Today the college provides associate and baccalaureate degrees, and technical and occupational training for the citizens of Broward County and is one the 28 public community colleges in the Florida system. From its beginnings at the former Naval Air Station the college has gone through several name changes (Junior College of Broward County, Broward Junior College, Broward Community College and Broward College) and grown to include three major campus and five centers, serving the people of Broward County and South Florida.
