Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A second campus is located in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts; four satellites are located in the local communities of Cambridge, East Boston, Somerville and Boston's South End.

Founded in 1973 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, BHCC enrolls more than 12,271 students in day, evening, weekend, web-based and distance learning courses and programs. The College offers more than 101 associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for successful employment and transfer to four-year universities. Internationally recognized for development of individualized and alternative methods of instruction, BHCC is a leader in distance-learning technologies that enhance and strengthen the learning environment. The College also has expansive course offerings in English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education.

One of the largest colleges in the state's community college system, BHCC incorporates multi cultural and international perspectives in its courses, programs and institutional climate. With students from 90 countries, and students of color comprising more than half of the student's population, BHCC is one of the more diverse and cosmopolitan colleges in New England. The average age of students is 28, nearly two-thirds are women and the majority of students work while attending college. An expansive array of student services supports the varied needs of the BHCC students.

A leader in workforce education, the College's academic and technical programs offered at two campuses, five satellites and through distance learning models, reflect the workforce of the local and regional economy. The additional resources of the Workforce Development Center and ACT Center further support the Greater Boston communities' employment training needs.

BHCC offers current and former students secure, easy online access to academic and financial records, course availability and registration. Using a Personal Identification Number (PIN), students can access this information directly from the bottom of this page.
Technology Resources

Students at BHCC have many electronic resources available to them to enhance their academic experience including student computing labs and online accounts that provide access for registration, campus information, financial aid, grades, online payments and e-mail. Upon registration in any credit course(s), a student automatically receives a "myBHCC" account and password. This account information is mailed directly to the student's home to insure privacy is maintained. This "myBHCC" login id and password will provide the access into the Online Services/Registration system, e-mail and the myBHCC portal.
International Center

The International Center at Bunker Hill Community College provides programs, services, and activities that address the unique needs of our growing international population. Established in 1999 to further BHCC's goal to expand Global Learning, the Center serves as the focal point for the college's international student population, offering friendly, helpful information and advice about life in Boston and at Bunker Hill Community College.


The Workforce Development Center is built on three pillars: Talent, Partners and Customers. These three pillars enable us to develop meaningful "products" that improve business results. Our solutions achieve a number of positive business outcomes, including: improved morale, enhanced quality of service, higher retention, increased revenue, and reduced costs.

Cambridge BioMedical Careers Program

This nine-month certificate program trains and job-place mean and women in entry-level postioins in biotechnology-related employment. Graduates can look forward to securing the following positions: Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, Manufacturing Associates, Research Assistants, Clinical Lab Assistants, Quality Control Technicians, and Animal Care Technicians.

Career Center

The Career Center provides a wide range of career services to all currently-enrolled students and alumni and provides a valuable link in the partnership between the College and the business community. Working closely with the academic programs, professional staff members assist students in job placement and the process of career development. The Center houses a library of career information, current job listings, internships and career/job search resources, including DISCOVER computer-based career and educational planning software and WinWay resume software.

We practice an open-door admissions policy and our tuition and fees are affordable - just $131 per credit hour. This works out to less than $3,000 per academic year for full-time students. In fact, BHCC offers the lowest comprehensive tuition and fees in the Commonwealth. We also offer a wide range of financial aid programs to help you pay for your education.
