Contribute to research in space geodesy and Earth system science at UT Center for Space Research.
Works in Earth system science applications and research related to satellite gravity and other space-geodetic techniques. Conducts research and analysis necessary to meet the goals of GRACE, GRACE Follow-On, and associated research grants.
Other related functions as assigned.
PhD in Engineering, Geophysics, Physics, or allied disciplines and at least 5 years research experience.
Experience with research in, and application of space-geodetic methods, including GRACE gravity fields and precise positioning. Experience in the use of these techniques for interpretation of mass-balance over the land, ocean or cryosphere domains at global or regional scales; their use together with geophysical models; and their application for sea-level studies. Excellent communication skills. Should be self-motivated, and demonstrate capability to establish, fund and carry out an independent research agenda.
