Assistant Registrar, Transfer ArticulationJob Description
The Assistant Registrar for Transfer Articulation, and credential analysis, is responsible for managing the transfer articulation process for the University. The position posts earned credit to student record and executes business processes to ensure accuracy in credit articulation and transcription. In conjunction with advising deans, this position is responsible for mapping, building, and maintaining a transfer credit articulations database and the associated decisions made by academic authorities, particularly advising deans. Analyzes transcripts, course descriptions, and syllabi from other institutions and provides recommendations to advisors regarding how courses should be consistently articulated onto the student record. The role requires excellent communication skills, time management, and advanced technical knowledge. The individual in this position needs to have a solid understanding of University policies, leadership’s expectations, federal and state compliance guidelines. General knowledge for federal aid and NCAA compliance is necessary. This role provides excellent service, commitment to advisors, and supports the business continuity of the Office of the Registrar. Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and breaks as needed. Provide credentials evaluation in support of admission and enrollment processes and serves as a resource for admissions office.
- Manage comprehensive processes to support efficient and high-quality delivery of services associated with the course equivalency review for both current and incoming students. Work with Dean’s Offices, Directors of Undergraduate Studies, and Admissions concerning the evaluation of credit via transcripts and syllabi. Make policy recommendations to these academic authorities.
- Establish a customer-centric service model focused on delivering a high level of policy based service to students, departments, and advising deans to support a consistent articulation processes.
- Maintain and update course equivalency databases and associated webpage(s). Develop and disseminate information resources in support of the course equivalency review processes with academic authorities. Enter transfer credit on the student record.
- Consistently communicate with the Office of Financial Aid, Athletic Compliance staff, and Academic Services for student-athletes regarding articulation decisions made by advising deans.
- Interpret University policy understand and communication the placement of articulated record data in degree audit.
- Special projects such as testing system upgrades, implementing new solutions, and other Registrar responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience.
Highly organized, motivated, self-directing, ability to multi-task and prioritize, communicate effectively orally and in writing, work independently and as a team, knowledge of databases using query tools and applications, knowledge of University database, ability to adapt and integrate changing and developing technologies, ability to work under tight deadlines, effectively manage and oversee group projects. Basic understanding of federal laws such as FERPA and SEVIS. Ellucian Banner experience, particularly with the transfer articulation module. Experience with scanning software and transfer databases.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience within an area of student services/student records. International credentials analysis is a plus. Previous management or leadership skills. Understanding of relational databases to effectively know how it relates to the University system of Banner. Knowledge and creation of SQL along with report writing tools such as Business Objects, MS Access, Crystal Reports, Tableau, or InfoMaker.
