We are currently seeking an Advising Manager who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
We’re looking for a manager who embodies the vision to set department goals and the leadership to achieve them, as well as the compassion to advise prospective, new and returning students of educational opportunities and requirements.
Whether you’re reviewing caseloads or managing the department budget, providing training or assisting faculty with the promotion of student learning programs, you’ll play an important role in teaching our students the skills to self-navigate to degree completion.

Master’s degree required. Prefer Master’s degree in counseling, guidance, college student personnel, higher education administration, education, social work, sociology, psychology, human services.
Completion of HCC College Leadership Program a plus.
Require three (3) years’ work experience in an institution of higher education advising setting including two (2) years supervisory experience preferably in an institution of higher education.
Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Well organized, task-oriented and flexible
Must possess good interpersonal skills to perform successfully in a large multicultural environment
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer proficiency in word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), and Internet technologies. Proficient in the general use of personal computers.
Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
