Reports to the Senior Quality Programs Manager, LED FastStart
The Curriculum Specialists (CS) responsibilities include evaluating curricula, and identifying the most effective ways of delivering specific topics or concepts in an Adult Learning environment. It may also include revising, standardizing the format, and improving the content of LED FastStart training documents; including Talent Management, Quality, Safety, and Core Skills.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to assess teaching methods, instructional materials, and participant performance data. The candidate will possess strong decision making skills to determine proper methods of instruction and curriculum.

The Curriculum Specialist will have strong and effective communication skills needed to explain teaching strategies, changes, and reasons for those changes to the curriculum design. The Curriculum Specialist will need to provide constructive feedback to Project Managers, Training Specialists, as well as Facilitators, and effectively lead curriculum review meetings. A working knowledge of e-learning techniques and language is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Curriculum Specialists (CS) responsibilities include evaluating curricula, and identifying the most effective ways of delivering specific topics or concepts in an Adult Learning environment. It may also include revising, standardizing the format, and improving the content of LED FastStart training documents; including Talent Management, Quality, Safety, and Core Skills.
  • The Curriculum Specialist will participate in professional learning and educational webinars, and conferences to ensure FastStart is staying abreast of the latest instructional methods, educational trends, and curriculum models. In an effort to enhance LED FastStarts curriculum library, the CS will examine the effectiveness of existing curriculum material, and identify opportunities to add value and improvement based on the latest training technologies.
  • In coordination with the Creative Solutions team, this position will be directly responsible for selecting the latest version of training material to ensure all updates are in accordance with Creative Solutionss established guidelines. To ensure desired deliverables and training needs are met, collaboration and teamwork with Project Managers, and Training Specialists becomes a key element of this position. For development purposes, the CS will occasionally deliver training curriculum to internal employees.
  • The Curriculum Specialist at established intervals, will evaluate training programs to determine long-term effectiveness. In addition, the CS will review and/or update learning and performance objectives as identified on design documents. The Curriculum Specialist will ensure course content is properly aligned with the design document. The Curriculum Specialist will observe Facilitators to ensure courses are being properly delivered as designed.
  • The Curriculum Specialist will be instrumental in converting current course content to applicable online training by incorporating interactive activities, and adding assessments as applicable.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to assess teaching methods, instructional materials, and participant performance data. The candidate will possess strong decision making skills to determine proper methods of instruction and curriculum.
  • The Curriculum Specialist will have strong and effective communication skills needed to explain teaching strategies, changes, and reasons for those changes to the curriculum design. They will be instrumental in effectively leading curriculum review meetings. They will be responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager or Quality Programs and/or the Lead Quality Training Specialist.
  • A working knowledge of e-learning techniques and language is required.


Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Education/Adult Education, Curriculum and Training Development, or Business.
In some circumstances, the Bachelor's degree may be substituted for an Associate's degree and 3-5 years in a related field or a Professional Certification and 3-5 years in a related field.

Required Experience: 5+ years experience in adult learning, and/or instructional design.
