PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Support Program of Study faculty with program curriculum development and revisions, as well as develop faculty and staff professional development.  This position will only be working with programs whose students are gaining associate degrees in the following programs:
  • Culinary Arts
  • Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Aided Drafting
  • Criminal Justice
  • HVAC Technology
  • Business Administration
  • Welding
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelors degree
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 1 year of industry experience including curriculum development or project management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Act as ongoing point of contact to project stake holders to answer questions, provide support, solutions, and track site progress post-launch.
  • Ensure that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to meet schedules and that deadlines are met.
Website Editing:
  • Assist faculty curriculum teams with course development and revisions to meet the industry and accreditation standards.
  • Research best teaching practices with a particular focus on meeting the needs of special population students.
  • Develop modules, workshops and seminars based on best teaching practices.
  • Coordinate with the Education Leadership team to identify specific support needs, specifically targeting high priority programs.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
  • Key Result Areas as established with Vice President Academic Affairs and Support Development of modules, workshops, and seminars.
  • Feedback from participants in modules, workshops, and seminars
ADDITIONAL FACTORS:
Perkins Career and Technical Education Grant funded position.
 
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time – 40+ hours per week

WORKING CONDITIONS: 
Equipment used includes desktop or laptop with Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
Work generally performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
Must be able to perform the essential job functions.

Must successfully pass a background check
Must provide 3 professional references
