Administrative Support Assistant III, Campus Director

Job Description

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide advanced level administrative support services to assigned department, school or division.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma/GED and seven years related office experience or Associate's Degree and five years related office experience; knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications; ability to work independently; ability to solve problems; pass Microsoft testing modules ability to type 40 wpm; experience in higher education preferred.

  • Strong administrative support services knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of social media and its impact on the successful marketing of Continuing Education programs.
  • Expertise in designing social media sites, selecting sites and proper terminology related to social media.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office software and applications.
  • Ability to use social media to raise the profile of Continuing Education in order to increase registrations, and enhance the customer experience.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators and the college community in person and on the telephone.
  2. Assist with special projects, meetings and/or special events.
  3. Serve as liaison between department or program and other offices or organizations.
  4. Research, analyze and process data into college systems.
  5. Maintain records and files.
  6. Assist with area budget process.
  7. Compile reports, documents, forms and correspondence.
  8. Create and track check requests, requisitions, work orders and other request forms.
  9. Manage calendars for department personnel.
  10. Process and manage all relevant course, program and/or personnel paperwork.

Position Specific Essential Duties

 

  1. Provide assistance and administrative support to the department and the marketing team.
  2. Compiles reports, documents, forms and correspondence and research in order to better market courses, programs, and improve results of outreach efforts.
  3. Analyze various social media sites and conduct ongoing research in order to make recommendations regarding Continuing Education's presence.
  4. Design a social media presence for Continuing Education.
  5. Maintain, edit and provide content for selected Social Media sites as directed by the Marketing team.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to produce both electronic and paper marketing materials.
  7. Development and implement department policies and procedures pertaining to all marketing outreach, especially social media to ensure that they are in compliance with College policy.
  8. Coordinate trouble shooting and problem solving responses related to marketing, communication, and outreach events/efforts with appropriate groups.
  9. Serves as Continuing Education's liaison to College Communications and other groups in order post information on CCBC's and other appropriate social media sites.
  10. Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators and the college community through social media.
  11. Assist with special projects, meetings or other events.
