- Class Description
The purpose of this class is to provide advanced level administrative support services to assigned department, school or division.
- Minimum Requirements
High school diploma/GED and seven years related office experience or Associate's Degree and five years related office experience; knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications; ability to work independently; ability to solve problems; pass Microsoft testing modules ability to type 40 wpm; experience in higher education preferred.
- Strong administrative support services knowledge and skills.
- Knowledge of social media and its impact on the successful marketing of Continuing Education programs.
- Expertise in designing social media sites, selecting sites and proper terminology related to social media.
- Proficient Microsoft Office software and applications.
- Ability to use social media to raise the profile of Continuing Education in order to increase registrations, and enhance the customer experience.
- Class Specific Essential Duties
- Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators and the college community in person and on the telephone.
- Assist with special projects, meetings and/or special events.
- Serve as liaison between department or program and other offices or organizations.
- Research, analyze and process data into college systems.
- Maintain records and files.
- Assist with area budget process.
- Compile reports, documents, forms and correspondence.
- Create and track check requests, requisitions, work orders and other request forms.
- Manage calendars for department personnel.
- Process and manage all relevant course, program and/or personnel paperwork.
- Position Specific Essential Duties
- Provide assistance and administrative support to the department and the marketing team.
- Compiles reports, documents, forms and correspondence and research in order to better market courses, programs, and improve results of outreach efforts.
- Analyze various social media sites and conduct ongoing research in order to make recommendations regarding Continuing Education's presence.
- Design a social media presence for Continuing Education.
- Maintain, edit and provide content for selected Social Media sites as directed by the Marketing team.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce both electronic and paper marketing materials.
- Development and implement department policies and procedures pertaining to all marketing outreach, especially social media to ensure that they are in compliance with College policy.
- Coordinate trouble shooting and problem solving responses related to marketing, communication, and outreach events/efforts with appropriate groups.
- Serves as Continuing Education's liaison to College Communications and other groups in order post information on CCBC's and other appropriate social media sites.
- Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators and the college community through social media.
