Gogebic Community College seeks candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to teach mathematics courses at our Ironwood, Michigan campus. We seek a candidate with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, someone with the ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning, and who is familiar with student outcomes assessment. A commitment to innovative instructional models including distance learning and hybrid is expected. Provide instruction primarily in developmental Mathematics courses with additional courses through Calculus.
Select, develop, and revise course material/curriculum as necessary.
Keep students informed to course requirements, evaluation measures, and attendance policies.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and discussions related to curriculum, teaching-learning techniques, and or teaching materials.
Conduct and oversee student outcomes assessment.
Mentor adjunct faculty who teach Mathematic courses.
Post and maintain regular office hours.
Work effectively with other faculty and staff in a rapidly changing team environment.
Participate in community and professional organizations.
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or closely related field from a U.S. Department of Education regionally accredited college or university or A Master’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Mathematics from a U.S. Department of Education regionally accredited college or university.
