Job Summary

The Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Academic Coordinator serves as a one-stop, single point of contact for college campus based high school students including holds management, advising and registration, coding, degree/certificate completion, and retention. This position will support advising relationships with all high school students taking courses at an ACC campus, including creating academic plans, connecting students with resources, and conducting proactive student outreach. This position works in tandem with various departments on campus including Advising, Concurrent Enrollment, and Cashiers offices to meet CE needs as well as collaborating for continuous process improvement. The CE Academic Coordinator works with local high school districts to ensure ACC courses meet educational goals. This position serves as the primary ACC contact for @ACC high school programs for students, staff, and K-12 school districts. The hours for this position are 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday; occasional after-hours and weekend work is required. Travel throughout the assigned service area is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of advising, concurrent enrollment, or related student affairs experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience with creating spreadsheets to perform data analysis.
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with individuals of varying social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff to reach programmatic goals; often in time-sensitive and high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to research and solve problems, while working with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with partners inside and outside the college.
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Banner or other student information system.
  • Experience in project management and/or assessment.

Physical & Cognitive Demands

The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

  • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
  • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Advertised Salary Range

Salary range for this position is $47,321 - $53,000, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
