Under direct supervision assist the designated department by performing a variety of routine clerical task assignments. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Answer telephone, handling multiple lines;



Handle routine office inquiries;



Operate office equipment such as computer, copier, fax, typewriter, and calculator;



Respond to requests for information, in person or over the phone, and provide necessary customer service to internal and external customers;



Type correspondence and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts;



Scan and process departmental documents such as surveys or office documents;



Process all incoming and outgoing mail;



Assist with special projects as assigned; and



Provide support to other areas as needed
