Position TitlePayroll and Benefits Supervisor
FTCC is seeking a qualified applicants for the Full-time Exempt position which, provides professional and technical expertise within the College’s Payroll and Benefits department, including the preparation and supervision of payrolls, benefits, required government filings, and other duties as assigned.
Supervise and participate in all payroll and benefits functions for the College; Participate and take a leadership role in the transition to an electronic time keeping system; Process monthly payroll checks and the electronic transfer of ACH direct deposits to bank; Provide resolutions to payroll and benefits related questions; prepare and balance W2’s; Supervise the preparation of all required federal and state payroll tax filings; Prepare other required filings during the year to include IPEDS, Staff Information Reports, surveys, and etc.; Establish schedules and methods for maintaining appropriate payroll and benefits records, reports, and supporting documentation; Review and process personnel action notices; oversee the maintenance of employee personnel files; Various other duties as assigned.
Four years of responsible experience involving the maintenance of financial and related statistical records, preferably within the area of payroll and benefits; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, or related field, supplemented by experience in payroll functions and benefits, or equivalent; Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Colleague (Ellucian) experience; Community College experience; Supervisory experience
