This position is a customer service position in the Financial Aid Office. Assist students with questions, and completing financial aid requirements. Manage and secure submitted documents. Enter data correctly into BANNER and other financial aid systems. Be able to understand and communicate Financial Aid process and requirements and direct students to specialty staff as needed. Be available to staff for special projects as needed.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Assisting student at front desk regarding financial aid.
Answering the main phone line.
Processing faxes and other document.
Help student complete forms in financial aid systems.
Working reports as needed.
Out Reach: out bound phone call and emails.
Must be able to work 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Experience with Banner
Experience with Financial Aid
Must have excellent work attendance.
High School Diploma.
Basic Computer Skills are required.
Must be able to work 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday – Thursday.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have keyboarding skills and data entry experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Must enjoy working with diverse student population and have good communication skills. Must be able to understand Financial Aid principles and general office procedures.
