The Position

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and independent candidate for a Postdoctoral
Fellowship in the laboratory of Louis Vermeulen at the department of Discovery Oncology to investigate how tissue context in concert with specific oncogenic events drives cancer development in various organs. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary department that is committed to tackle the most challenging problems in cancer research.


Requirements:
A PhD degree in Cellular or Molecular Biology is required along with strong
experience in cancer biology or a related field. Experience with advanced cell culture methods (in particular iPSCs and/or organoids), omics technologies and CRISPR/Cas9 screening approaches is highly desired. You are technically rigorous, curious and creative. In addition, you have good communication skills and are able to clearly present complex research projects and results to experts with different backgrounds. Qualified candidates must also have advanced at least one key research project as evidenced by a first author paper published or accepted in a leading peer-reviewed journal.

This position is eligible for relocation benefits

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $64,800 and $120,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
