Adjunct Faculty Position Announcement 

Discipline: Adjunct Faculty/Freshman Seminar

School/Department:  The School of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences/English, ESL and Reading

Responsibilities:  Westchester Community College seeks an enthusiastic Adjunct to teach the one-credit first-year college experience (FYE).  The Adjunct will provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in the First-Year Experience (FYE). The course is contextualized for each school with an emphasis on career and transfer, study skills, familiarity with campus resources, and an awareness of real-world life skills. The incumbent will also participate in faculty development activities to include a one (1) day-long orientation meeting in July 2019.

Qualifications:  A minimum of a Master’s degree and one year of college teaching experience is required.

Position Effective:  Fall 2019

Hourly Rate of Pay:  $80.95 per hour.  No benefits.
