Announcement Summary

FTCC is seeking qualified applicants for this part-time position which, provides assistance to the Executive Director of the Foundation. The position requires an energetic self-starter, able to work independently and in coordination with senior administrators, staff, board members, and volunteers.

Duties

Assist the Executive Director in developing, implementing, and managing a year-round development plan and calendar of fundraising activities guiding staff and volunteer activity.

Identify and manage a pool of prospective donors, actively cultivating and soliciting key donors in person with the participation of staff and volunteer leaders.

Work closely with staff and volunteers in planning and managing fundraising events, including annual donor and volunteer recognition.

Assist the Executive Director in expanding the current donor base by marketing honorary and memorial gifts

Assist the Executive Director in expanding the current donor base by sales calling and visits to drive commitments from individuals and organizations.

Coordinate with the Executive Director in identifying priority funding needs and developing funding proposals to business, foundation, and governmental sources.

Develop, and present informational presentations to community leaders and the general public.

Serve as Assistant Director to the Foundation Board; coordinate meetings; and assist director with preparing status reports during temporary absences of the Executive Director.

Prepare regular reports on gift activity for the Executive Director and the President’s review.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of increasing responsibility in non-profit organization(s) with asset development, operating revenue development and planned giving programs. Previous experience interacting with CEOs, Presidents, and other senior administrators.

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business, secondary education, or a related field or comparable work experience. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
