Lone Star College-System Office employees are based at one of two System Office locations; The Woodlands and University Park. Both are the site for multiple administrative departments and system-wide training programs.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Utilizes a specialized skill set in performing assigned duties and tasks. Under limited supervision, is responsible for collecting, compiling and analyzing information in Supplier Diversity. Draws comparisons with other/previous similar situations or events. Makes action recommendations to peers or superiors. Serves as a resource to the procurement department and college staff for PeopleSoft transaction applications and general office duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Processes ERP user access requests for purchasing module
Provides training and facilitates cross-training of staff
Through the use of queries, identifies and addresses transaction errors for requisitions, contracts, POs and PO receipts
Addresses and resolves PO closing through collaboration with end users
Receives and distributes executed procurement contract documents
Maintains procurement categories in iStar
Responsible for input and monitoring of department budget in iStar
Assists Director and staff with administrative duties as needed
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Ability to work in a collaborative work environment
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and vendors
Knowledge of common desktop office software (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
Knowledge of navigation for the procurement process in People Soft ERP
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
Equipment used includes, PC Workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, word processing programs, Excel, calculator, phone and other general office equipment as required
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Associate's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Specialization in technical area as required
Knowledge of the procurement process in a public institution
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts
Hiring Salary is $43,070 annually
