Skilled in Ansys Fluent, with many experiences in hemodynamics.
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha), seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the laboratory of Dr. Yiannis Chatzizisis (https://www.unmc.edu/intmed/divisions/cardiology/research/cbbl/index.html).
The successful candidate will function somewhat independently, designing, organizing and conducting highly-specialized and advanced simulations in the fields of coronary artery hemodynamics, summarizing findings and publishing results in research journals, assuming general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory, and providing guidance to junior technicians, students and researchers.
Design and implement coronary artery related CFD simulation (e.g., balloon, stenting, rotablation …), which is based on FEA simulation and in-vitro/in-vivo experiments.
Collect, prepare and analyze research data.
Keep a detailed notebook, summarizing experiments and recording data.
Maintain computer database of research data.
Tabulate and display data for presentation in research conferences and for manuscript preparation.
Use graphics and statistical software to analyze and present data.
Supervise other personnel in the laboratory to coordinate research efforts for increased efficiency.
Participate in training fellows, residents, students and volunteer workers.
Search pertinent scientific literature, as needed.
Assist with procurement of supplies and equipment
Assist with general maintenance of the laboratory.
Skilled in C for Fluent UDF.
Good experience in ICEM meshing.
Knowledge in at least one of the following FEA codes – Abaqus, Ansys APDL, Ls-Dyna, Adina.
Good knowledge of Matlab.
