We are currently seeking a Testing Associate who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service. 

The Opportunity


You: You’re a conscientious and dependable person who enjoys working with students and faculty alike. 

Your mission: We’ll rely on you to administer, proctor and score tests as well as supervise site testing staff. 

Your work: You’ll be administering tests both on and off campus, and we’ll count on you to keep staff, materials and schedules in order so we can assist as many students as possible. On any given day, you might be scoring tests, scheduling proctors, attending a district meeting or helping out with new-student orientations.

 SUMMARY

Administers, proctors and scores tests as required. Supervises site testing staff as required.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 Administer various assessment tests for the college on and off campus (THEA, ASSET,COMPASS,GED,TOEFL,SAT, CLEP, ACT, TABE, CELSA, CITZENSHIP, ASE, CBE, CAAP, Correspondence Testing, Departmental Exams, etc.).

 Assure that all staff is certified to administer Ability to Benefit tests. GED certification may be required.

 Work with ADA counselors to provide appropriate testing accommodations to students.

 Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training of staff.

 Schedule testing proctors to ensure appropriate coverage.

 Complete appropriate paperwork for hiring and ending assignments.

 Input and approve time and labor data for site testing staff.

 If applicable, complete the Performance Evaluation Document (PEP) if supervising full-time staff.

 Conduct inventory, at least annually, of test materials housed at the Testing Center.

 Report any lost, stolen, misplaced, damaged, or otherwise compromised test materials to the System Office.

 Attend various meetings (i.e., district-wide monthly testing associate meetings, student development dean’s monthly manager meetings, campus operational team meetings, etc.).

 Attend all training required by supervisor or college/district, state, or federal policy.

 Adhere to departmental policies and procedures in cooperation with the district office.

 Participate in new student orientations (shared jointly with other student services personnel), and conducts GED orientation.

 Participate in campus activities, and initiatives.

 Input test data.

 Assist the supervisor in the performance of duties.

 Assist in evaluating and improving program services.

 Process students for registration of various tests.

 Prepare monthly testing calendars and generate monthly reports for submission to System Office.

 Monitor and maintain a system that will ensure security of tests and testing materials at the assigned sites.

 May be asked to perform other duties as assigned in the absence of the Supervisor.

 QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.  The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 Bilingual a plus

 Basic computer knowledge required

 Proficiency with PC and computerized student record system is preferred

 Ability to work some nights and weekends

Ability to attend yearly in-service training

 Two to four full testing sessions under a supervisor before assuming duties
