The Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) Board of Trustees invites applications for the position of President of A-B Tech. The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer and reports directly to an appointed fifteen-member Board.
A-B Tech is a superior-rated, comprehensive community college that enrolls more than 22,000 students, giving it the largest headcount of any institution of higher education in Western North Carolina. The College offers more than 60 innovative career programs, along with A.A., A.S., and A.F.A. programs and more than 2,324 Continuing Education courses each year. Additionally, 1,300 students are served through the Small Business Center annually. The College is comprised of campuses in Buncombe and Madison Counties.
The successful candidate must have a Master's degree or a Doctorate degree from an accredited institution. A Doctorate is preferred. The candidate must also have at least seven years of senior level administrative experience in higher education or equivalent required, preferably in a community college.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
