College of Lake County is seeking an Academic Operations Associate to provide front line standard and advanced clerical/secretarial support to the Business, Social Sciences Division and the Engineering, Math, and Physical Sciences Division. This position is under the supervision of the Associate Dean, EMPS.
The individual will serve as the primary clerical/secretarial support for the Divisions and the primary contact for visitors to the Division offices.
The individual will have the ability to work in an independent manner, interact and work effectively with college community, faculty, staff and students while maintaining strong working relationships.
This is a full time position with a flexible schedule between the hours of 9:30am – 7:30pm Monday – Thursday and 8:00am – 4:30pm Fridays with final permanent schedule determined with the supervisor based on the needs of the Divisions and employee availability.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous office experience.
3. Excellent customer service skills.
4. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
5. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others (email).
6. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
7. Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds and professional responsibilities.
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules. Ability to work with confidential information.
