Provide clerical support and assistance with the operation of the Chaparral Center and provide assistance to both the Director and Coordinator of Operations.
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of clerical experience
Computer literacy to include proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
Knowledge of general office equipment, including ability to use a typewriter
Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills
Concession equipment knowledge
Answer phone and provide assistance regarding events and information about Midland College
Reconcile monies received for the Chaparral Center and concessions and prepare deposits
Work in office during night, weekend, and holiday functions of the Chaparral Center
Assist Coordinator of Operations with concession operations to include popping popcorn, stocking, working concession stands, and stand maintenance
Act as a greeter for all teams and guests entering the Chaparral Center through Entrance #3
Assist with housekeeping duties for the Chaparral Center
Assist in preparation of signs & game programs for athletic events
Assist Chaparral Center Director with facility contracts
Track and compile event and attendance data
Order office supplies
Assist with general office duties that will include budget and payroll
Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Chaparral Center or the Coordinator of Operations
Must be able to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
Use of manual dexterity
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
Must be able to work extended hours during Chaparral Center events to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Primarily all work is indoors, however, greeting times will include opening and closing doors during winter time
