Position Duties and Responsibilities


Responsible for campus level oversight of College enrollment processes related to admissions, registration, and management of student records according to federal, regional, state and institutional policy.

Serves as the lead admissions, officer, and official steward of student academic records at the campus level. In this capacity, the Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of an effective Enrollment Services and Admissions unit on the campus. Admissions and Enrollment Services serves prospective and current STLCC students by providing exceptional in-person, telephone, email, online and outreach student-centric services.


*Participates in the creation of the strategic enrollment plan and its implementation at the campus level.

*Monitors daily enrollment and works with teams to develop strategies to meet the unique needs of the campus.

*Provides leadership for campus enrollment team-oversees admissions and enrollment services, and collaborates with financial aid, assessment, and advising to ensure that services run smoothly and effectively.

*Serves as the campus-level expert for students, staff, and faculty in solving enrollment and admissions related problems.

*Works with district counterparts to develop best practices for the institution.

*Serves as the campus data steward for student academic records, ensuring accuracy and security of official student records, including both electronic and manual records and files as directed by District policy.

*Directs the functions of the Enrollment Services and Admissions unit to provide essential information, answer questions, counsel and provide problem resolution for all students in the areas of admissions, registration, enrollment, and student records; as well as limited information regarding financial aid, assessment, advising, access, career services, billing, and payment.

*Stays current on updated student records policies, laws, regulations, and use of related technology.

*Contributes to the design, implementation, and monitoring of effective and efficient District-wide systems for managing admissions and registration systems.

*Ensures compliance with all required federal, state, and college policies related to the mission and responsibilities of the office at the campus level.

*Provides fiduciary oversight for the Enrollment Services and Admissions units and management of budgets attached to programs, services and personnel.

*Maintains knowledge of issues surrounding many types of students and programs, including adult learners, English as a Second Language, GED, pre-college, high school dual enrollment, transfer, technical, personal enrichment, and credit for prior learning.

*Monitors enrollment trends and engages in outreach development pertinent to student and community needs and consistent with college/district master plan; may assist with development of presentation materials and deliver presentations at orientation(s) and other outreach events.

*Serves as the campus resource for International Student questions and procedures with regard to admission, registration, and records (referring to District Director of Enrollment Management as needed).

*Uses investigation, professional judgment, and individual discretion, as appropriate; follow through on issues until resolved, providing necessary correspondence and contact with students or third parties; contact student advisors, academic divisions, or other STLCC departments to clarify, as necessary; intercede and/or advocate on the student’s behalf to resolve issues needing escalation beyond the ES unit.

*Coordinates and oversees effective customer service and cross-functional training programs for new staff, as well as an on-going refresher training program for existing staff.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree and five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, enrollment services, admissions and/or records management.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual skills preferred.
