CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Instruct college credit and non-credit courses on a part time basis. Hours vary and may include evenings and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component.  Instruction in one of several offered CAD applications (primarily AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO/PROE) and/or Technical Drawing Theory to adult learners majoring in CAD Engineering, Manufacturing and related disciplines. Develop lesson plans to support Common Course Outline, develop and administer evaluation methods (tests, quizzes, projects, reports), grade evaluation methods and final course performance, classroom management, and delivery of instruction.
Position located on Catonsville, Dundalk and Essex campuses.
Pay adjunct level 1 $855 per credit hour.

 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Three years documented work experience in the field of Computer Aided Design. Professional Licenses or Certifications.  Prior teaching experience in the field of Computer Aided Design. An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in a related subject.
 
CLASS SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Maintain office hours, voicemail and email communication.
  2. Refer students to student support services when necessary.
  3. Accommodate special needs students.

POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Conduct assigned classes and/or labs.
  2. Prepare lessons.
  3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information).
  4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets.
  5. Keep accurate record of student performance.
  6. Provide students with timely feedback.
If a lab is involved:
  1. Prepare labs.
  2. Enforce lab safety procedures.
