Position Duties and Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs will report directly to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. The Associate Vice Chancellor will engage in a vital partnership with academic affairs under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs to shape an exceptional student experience that demonstrates high levels of student engagement, learning and success. The Associate Vice Chancellor provides administrative and managerial oversight in the following areas: enrollment management, enrollment services, financial aid, international student affairs, TRIO programs, veteran services, and other program partnerships intended to support student achievement for demographic subsets of students.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree is required.

Ten years of progressive responsibility in student affairs with significant senior-level supervisory experience.

Demonstrated professional expertise and understanding of current issues and best practices in the field.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred doctorate degree.

Ability to create vision and plans that accomplish strategic directions and goals.

Innovative and authentic leadership with the ability to create consensus and collective action.

Capability to create highly effective partnerships that foster student engagement and success.

Competence in collecting and analyzing pertinent data to inform continuous improvement in student recruitment, enrollment, and retention, as well as financial aid, practices.

Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills on both strategic and operational levels.
