Coordinates all aspects of class set-up, student admissions and registration for all concurrent enrollment (CE) classes, at participating high schools as well as CE classes offered on SLCC campuses. Maintains positive relationships with high school CE partners, trains high school CE coordinators on their role and expectations, and actively monitors CE department compliance with CE, SLCC, and state policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Admission & Registration Management: Work closely with high school (HS) concurrent enrollment (CE) coordinators to set up new schools in the SLCC banner system. Assist coordinators with guiding students through the admissions and registration process. Coordinate the resolution of student admission and registration problems. Train high school coordinators on SLCC Concurrent Enrollment policies and procedures. Inform and remind coordinators and teachers of relevant deadlines and responsibilities in a timely way. Manually register students who were unable to register themselves, for qualifying reasons, during the registration period. Process all registration appeals for the current semester, including withdrawals, and drops after the deadline. Monitor for missing grades and work with coordinators and teachers to ensure that all grades are recorded in Banner. Concurrent On-Campus Program Coordination: Prepare the CE@SLCC schedule for publication. Manage the student course request process and unlock registration access through Banner. Send out faculty background check reminders to associate deans. Monitor faculty grade submission and track missing grades at the end of each semester. Prepare and distribute final grade reports to high school coordinators each semester so that the grade can be recorded on the student’s high school transcript. Class Scheduling: In close partnership with the SLCC Scheduling Office, schedule all concurrent enrollment classes taught in the high schools. Monitor for and cancel any CRN’s that are not being used and ensure that the classes listed in the Concurrent Enrollment Office MyCE system mirror CE classes listed in Banner for the current term. Concurrent Enrollment Instructor Application Management: Monitor and process annual CE instructor applications in MyCE. Identify errors and work with high school partners to make corrections. Work with SLCC academic departments to draft and distribute new teacher acceptance letters and welcome packets. Relationship Building: Actively maintain positive working relationships with all high school Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Coordinators ensuring that concerns or problems are addressed in a timely, positive manner, and in compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Assure that high school CE coordinators receive annual one-on-one, group, and online training with regards to their CE responsibilities, SLCC systems, best practices, and other relevant topics. Insure that the CE coordinators have access to high quality, relevant resources to help them more effectively and efficiently perform their responsibilities as CE coordinators. MyCE Monitoring & Maintenance: Assist with maintaining the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment MyCE program management system, by updating partner directory information, identifying appropriate reports, and ensuring that the data in MyCE is accurate. Other duties as assigned.
Experience working with Concurrent Enrollment.
Bachelors Degree in a related field.
0-2 years of direct, full-time, paid work experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Self-Starter, ability to take initiative with little direction or supervision.
Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, filing and general office methods and procedures is required.
Knowledge of concurrent enrollment policies and procedures outlined by the state of Utah, the Utah System of Higher Education, the Utah Board of Education, and SLCC.
Excellent typing speed, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills.
Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions effectively; good verbal and composition skills.
Work with confidential information.
Consistently relate and communicate well with a variety of people within and outside the College.
Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
