Performs duties as project coordinator to create and deliver direct professional services: coordinates diverse professional staff; evaluates external requirements of projects; ensures external funding requirements are met. Performs normal supervisory functions.
Determines participant eligibility for Missouri Apprenticeships in Manufacturing Programs grant (MOAMP).
Serves as a coach, guide and advocate for MOAMP participants through all levels of their training, beginning with program entry, to advance their progress along a career pathway. Works with participants individually and in small groups, and closely monitors each participant’s progress.
Collaborate with Career and Employment Services and College retention efforts.
Responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of a plan for each participant to include assessment, developmental education, enrollment in a variety of credit-based or non-credit training, and job search.
Links participants with other resources on the STLCC campuses such as advising, financial aid, and ACCESS offices, as well as resources in the community.
Coordinates with Missouri Career Center staff members and other grant team members on recruitment and delivery of services to participants.
Assists with detailed record keeping, data collection and reporting for federal grant. Discusses needs and barriers with program customers and designs career pathway plans for training and employment.
Establishes working relationships with community based organizations in order to distribute information about the MOAMP Grant and assist with outreach and recruitment efforts.
Assist customers with resume writing, interviewing and job search strategy techniques.
