Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Adjunct Nursing Instructor is a part – time position serving as an adjunct teaching faculty member responsible for instructing students on-campus, in clinical sites, and through other delivery methodologies in accordance with College policy and procedures. The relationship of this adjunct faculty member to the student is one of a leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Participates in clinical advising of nursing students
- Participates in development, implementation, evaluation and revision of curriculum as indicated
- Maintain professional competence and environment
- Participate in professional development activities is required
- Work cooperatively with peers while supporting the mission and vision of the College
- Adhere to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the College nursing program
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Two years of clinical experience
- Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, a Nurse Licensure Compact State, or to be eligible for licensure (must have temporary license prior to employment).
- Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current immunizations and annual tuberculosis screening
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Masters Degree in Nursing preferred
- Five years of clinical experience
- Teaching experience in a community college

- Must have the ability and vocabulary required to communicate with all levels of staff, faculty, subordinates, students, and the public in the performance of the job.
