Job Summary

Provide quality tutoring, primarily in Intro to Business (HR) to student in the Business Resource Instructional Center (BRIC) on the Taylorsville Campus of Salt Lake Community College.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Provide quality tutoring, primarily in Intro to Business (HR) to student in the Business Resource Instructional Center (BRIC) on the Taylorsville Campus of Salt Lake Community College.

Submit required paperwork such as logs and time sheets in a timely manner.

Other Duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree with two or more course in Business, Business HR completed with a B or better grade.

Minimum Qualifications

High School graduation or equivalent

Qualified tutors will need to have earned a B or better in the courses they wish to provide tutoring.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to:
Provide competent tutoring to assist students in reaching their stated academic goals.
Communicate with and relate to a diverse student population.
Mentor effective student skills and positive attitude.
Work as a team with other tutors.
Assist in creating learning environments based on respect, understanding, and trust for those seeking learning support.
Submit accurate and timely payroll.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Special Instructions

Applicant must have flexible hours in order to meet the scheduling needs of students.
