Position Summary: Under general direction of the Director of Enrollment Services, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services independently completes a full range of enrollment services processes. This position has programmatic responsibility to oversee the daily operations and supervision of the one-stop student services front counter team; represents the department/college at meetings and workshops and serves as the main supervisory and budgetary contact for the department in the absence of the director. The Assistant Director works closely with the Director to assist with management of the department in addition to interpreting policies, procedures, and state regulations in areas of admission, registration and records, cashiering, transferring of credits and the issuance of degrees and certificates.

Duties & Responsibilities
Supervision of front counter staff to include: interview, hire and train; prioritize and assign work; approve/deny leave requests; conduct annual performance evaluations; recommend corrective action; advise employees on following policies and procedures. Develop training modules and coordinate staff training to support the Kodiak Corner student success center.
Provide support to the Director in administering primary oversight for departmental functions; ensure proper communication and staffing; maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
Manage the college's placement assessment program, including ACCUPLACER and a variety of other measures.
Provide direct support to Enrollment Services by maintaining technical functions related to the maintenance of the registration system, posting of grades, reporting of academic honors, prerequisite confirmation, nonpayment of tuition, and other similar functions.
Coordinate with other departments and external agencies to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures; provide support as needed.
Oversee and maintain confidential files and paperwork.
Assist in the determination of residency for the purpose of tuition and student appeals.
Oversee cashiering operations and maintain student payment plans.
Use professional judgment to review student requests for policy exceptions related to enrollment deadlines.
Serve as the Director for Enrollment Services in the absence of Director.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of direct supervisory experience in customer service
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and use creative problem-solving methods
Experience using customer or student management database systems
Successful experience working in a student services environment
Competency in Microsoft Office products
Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical Work Environment: Semi-Sedentary Work: Involves staying in a stationery position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Work is performed at the Cascadia College campus and in a variety of local settings.
Position in this class typically require: operating a computer, communicating, observing and repetitive motions. Exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects.
