Iowa Western is currently seeking a Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator in the Institutional Effectiveness department. This position reports to the Dean of Institutional Research and Accreditation. This position guides, coordinates and administers content development, implementation, and assessment. Collaborates with faculty and academic departments to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate curricular material and assessment methods to support the learning goals of courses, disciplines, programs, and institutional learning outcomes.
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in area of education, assessment, math, statistics, business analytics, or related field (including courses in research methods and statistics)
Two or more years' experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and demonstrated success in curriculum development is required.
Master’s Degree with an emphasis in education, assessment, or curriculum.
Other degrees will be considered based on relevant experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Microsoft Excel skill level especially functions, calculations, Pivot Tables, and data features.
Experience in a higher education institution or other complex service organization and demonstrated knowledge with data extraction reporting tools relating to Ellucian Colleague and Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.
Additional Qualifications: include occasional lifting of 10 lbs., ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S Driver's license, and a good driving record.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m – 4:30 p.m.
