Coordinate scheduling goals and objectives with Instructional and COE leaders across the District; including, but not limited to planning, directing and coordinating activities to ensure they are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. Supports the administrative activities of the Office of the President.
Manage the administrative, financial and Talent Engagement processes for assigned area, including but not limited to course schedules, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and supervision of administrative support staff.
Compile information, analyze data and provide a variety of reports on enrollment, scheduling, faculty workload, trend reports and ad hoc reports as required.
Assist with annual budget activities and monitors/reconciles expenditures to ensure they are within the authorized budget.
Serve as the primary point of contact with COE Deans to ensure assigned location adheres to instructional timelines for grade submissions, course cancellations and instructor assignment.
Compile requests from advisors to develop a preliminary draft for schedule. Present preliminary scheduling draft to President for review and approval in light of HCC scheduling timelines.
Oversee budget activities, including but not limited to expenditures, budget revisions, maintaining related fiscal records, completing expense projections, entering requisitions, tracking purchase orders, receiving and payment.
Review enrollment data and trends, and provide recommendations regarding schedule build.
Review the building of credit/non-credit schedules to ensure robust scheduling that promotes equity, completion and retention.
Manage personnel related processes, including hiring processes for part-time faculty and staff are prepared and submitted in accordance to District policy and procedures.
Keep travel and expense records for supervisor and department staff members as required.
Screen and answer telephone calls, handling multiple lines.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Associate’s degree plus 4 years directly related experience may be considered in lieu of required degree
3 years related experience required

General office. May frequently be required to walk; stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, photocopier, file cabinets, and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to reach and bend, and use 2-step stool while safely lifting and lowering boxes. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
