Vernon Campus - Assistant Softball Coach/Resident Hall Assistant
Job Description
Description of Duties:
The individual will help be responsible for all aspects of the intercollegiate softball program at Vernon College. Duties to include, but not limited to:
1. To aid in the organizing and implement recruiting to maintain a competitive softball team.
2. To aid with game schedule
3. Help manage the Softball budget
4. Promote development of responsibility, character, and appropriate behavior of student-athletes.
Other duties include:
1. Assisting with intramurals and student activities as requested and encourage community involvement.
2. Aid in fundraising efforts.
Travel Required: Yes. Travel details: games, conferences and regional meetings as well as recruiting trips.
Experience and Training: A minimum of 2 years coaching experience in softball.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: CDL required of ability t attain license within 6 months of employment. Field maintenance and upkeep a plus. Ability to properly mark a field for play.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred playing experience at the collegiate level.
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
Maximum Educational Qualifications: Master's Degree
Salary or Salary Range: This is a full-time 10 month position with full-time benefits. The salary is based on 260 points on the Administrative Salary schedule. The salary is $27,395. Applications will be accepted until this position is filled. This position is available immediately.
