COMMUNICATION STUDIES (POOL)
Faculty Part-Time
 

The position of Communication Studies is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.

As a Part-Time Faculty Communication Studies, you will be responsible for teaching Public Speaking and possibly other Communications Studies courses such as Persuasion, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication, and Listening. Preference is for candidates who can teach courses in person and online as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:

  • Educational qualifications may be met in one of the following ways:
    • Masters degree in Communication Studies - General or Speech Communication and Rhetoric from a regionally accredited college or university is highly preferred.
    • Other Masters degree with at least 9 quarter credits at the undergraduate level in Communication studies plus at least 12 quarter credits at the graduate level in Communication Studies.
    • Applicants in progress for a Masters degree who have completed a minimum of 18 quarter credits of coursework in Communication Studies or Rhetoric may also be considered.
  • Applicants not meeting the minimum educational requirements will not be considered.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
  • 3 – 5 years current community college teaching experience in Communication Studies is preferred.
  • Experience teaching in multiple modalities, including in person and online is preferred.
