Job Description

 

• We are seeking an adjunct faculty member for Spring 24 term (classes start Jan 21t - May 17th 2024). Some prepatory instructor activity may be required prior to the start of term.
• The course is Intro to Human Resources Management.
• This class meets live once a week on the USK campus in San Marcos at 8:20AM on Wednesdays. The second class session each week will be asynchronous. See instructor requirements and compensation below.

Requirements:

Adjunct Faculty positions require a graduate degree from a regionally-accredited institution. 5+ years applied professional expertise in the subject is required. A term or two of prior teaching experience is highly desireable. For the immediate opening (HRM), if you are experienced with leading live training sessions for your organziation would apply toward teaching experience.

Compensation:

Compensation for our adjunct faculty is based on hours worked and, in addition to classroom hours, includes allocated time for course prep and grading as well as participation in any required faculty development training. Anticipated total compensation for this course (fully enrolled) is $5,265 per term.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $43.88 per hour

• The course meets live in person on Wednesdays 8:20AM until 9:35AM each week starting the week of Jan 22nd-May 10th. An alternative Finals schedule will be followed for the week of May 13th and class time may shift slightly. Are you able to meet this schedule?
