General Summary

The Director for Adult Education & Literacy plays a critical role in advancing the colleges mission by expanding the adult and continuing education pipelines and increasing the programs matriculation efforts. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Adult, Continuing, and Workforce Education, the Director for Adult Education and Literacy also serves as a liaison or chair for high priority projects as determined by the College President and administrative team.

Specific Position Duties

Provide leadership, vision, and oversight for the Adult Education & Literacy department.

Increase enrollment and capacity for Adult Education programs, including TxCHSE and ESOL.

Develop dual credit/early admission model for GED and TxCHSE students.

Develop intentional pathways between Adult Education and Continuing Education programs.

Develop intentional pathways to college enrollment for Adult and Continuing Education program completers.

Increase the percent of students who matriculate upon completion.

Develop data reporting/sharing processes for internal and external stakeholders.

Lead special projects and initiatives on behalf of the College President and administrative team.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited institution of higher education in education, leadership, business, management, or related field.

Demonstrated leadership experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross functional team efforts across the colleges divisions.

Ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate, and direct multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines

Ability to view projects and tasks through a strategic lens and with a future orientation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
